An Evening Under the
Stars
Our Annual Gala- SOLD OUT SUCCESS!
The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield "Evening Under the
Stars" Gala at the Daniel Webster Estate succeeded in
raising over $65,000 for the Club. The evening's honorees were Marshfield
residents and local business owners, Paul and Netta Vercollone. They
were honored for their exemplary support of the Boys and Girls Club
of Marshfield. WLVI-TV news anchor, Karen Marinella, acted as the
Master of Ceremonies for the evening.
The
night was off to a festive start when honoree Paul Vercollone, decided
to skip the standard acceptance speech and demonstrate his appreciation
with a stage show.
Paul brought the house down when he donned sunglasses, grabbed
a microphone and called upon his backup band "The "Nieces"
(Paul's college age nieces) to do a recreation of the late Robert
Palmer's video "Addicted To Love". He followed up by dedicating the
song "My Girl" to his wife, honoree: Netta Vercollone.
Paul received a standing ovation from the crowd. There were many prominent
Marshfield residents in attendance, but Paul Vercollone is the one
everyone will remember.
The Gala was supported by its lead sponsor, Roche Brothers Supermarkets,
owned by Marshfield residents and club supporters Barbara and Pat
Roche. (Shown posing with "Daniel Webster" )
