The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield (BGCM) is pleased to announce that it has chosen Ed Perry as the Honorary Chairperson of their “It Just Takes One” annual fund campaign.
Ed is the owner of 95.9 WATD which is celebrating 30 years of broadcasting on the South Shore. Ed has been a long time supporter of BGCM, recognizing the importance of the club and its impact on the entire community. He has committed his celebrity and resources to help promote the club and its programs whenever the opportunity arose. Thanks in large part to the remarkable generosity of loyal supporters like Ed, the club is now over 900 members strong! This year we have introduced new and exciting programs such as “Club Tech” – a program that helps level the “virtual playing field,” for kids of all ages and circumstances giving them access to the same resources and skills to help them discover their world; expand creativity; perform better in school, and eventually take their technology know-how into the workplace.
We have increased our caring and qualified staff that works directly with the children fostering members’ self-worth by encouraging a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness and influence. The annual fund campaign helps us to develop and maintain quality programs that continue our mission to inspire all young people to realize their full potential as productive and responsible citizens, as well as become tomorrow’s capable leaders.
