Executive Director Greg Jackson is pleased to announce that Alyx and Kristen, both students at Suffolk University, are the February Volunteers of the Month. While most college students were enjoying their holiday breaks by sleeping in and catching up on their favorite TV shows, Kristen and Alyx, originally from Marshfield, spent their time volunteering at the club and helping to make a difference in our members’ lives. The two students walked into the club with such enthusiasm and after a day of running around with the kids, surprisingly left with more enthusiasm. I really thought we had tired Alyx and Kristen out but they came back just as energetic the next day and the next, said Executive Director Greg Jackson. “It is great for the younger kids to have role models like Alyx and Kristen that are hard working students but that also find time to help their community.” |
