The Club has embarked upon an ambitious $3 million capital funding campaign entitled “Build the Future Campaign” with a goal of constructing a new multi-purpose clubhouse facility that appeals to all ages and interests. Embodying our slogan—“The Positive Place for Kids”—this new facility will provide a more extensive offering from arts and crafts to leadership programs, athletics, educational assistance and most importantly a caring, supportive and safe environment for young people to call their own.

CAMPAIGN UPDATE

The Build the Future Campaign Committee has quietly gone about business since our informal kick-off when Pat and Barbara Roche contributed $1 million to get things started.

Clearly the economic down-turn has impacted the campaign to the extent that it is prudent to re-align the project with today’s realities.  The world is a vastly different place than when this project took root.  That said, while personal wealth may be down and correspondingly the amounts that individuals and organizations can give, we are continually amazed by the generosity of those who are willing to bet on a very young organization and recognize the positive impact a new facility can and will have on the kids we serve and the community as a whole. 

Our ultimate message is unchanged.  The current space occupied by the Club is simply too small and limiting.  We need to offer more space in general, but more specifically we need age appropriate space to entice teenagers, athletic space for kids to run and an overall improved physical environment. 

The space we build may be smaller than originally planned. However, it will be designed in a manner that provides the program space needed to meet our current needs and those of tomorrow.

 This is very much a community project.  We need your help to achieve the success that we so clearly envision.  In short order, we are moving forward with our campaign to construct a new facility.  We will build a structure that the Town of Marshfield will be proud of, but more importantly, it will be a place for kids to be kids.
